A & W Automotive was established in March 2001 on Duck Road in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia by Andrea Thomas, as a strickly sales of Alternators, Starters and Batteries business. Andrea had started the business with a background in the Automotive Parts & Service Industry as well as Administrative experience.
In August 2001 Stephen Woodward (Woody as everyone know him) came aboard as a partner with his intensive knowledge of rebuilding alternators and starters, as well as automotive Chassis wiring, diagnosis and troubleshooting.
By July 2002 A & W Automotive had out grown its location on Duck Road and moved to its present location on Lucasville Road in Hammonds Plains.
A & W Automotive has Customer Service at the top of their priority list. Most of the larger shops have forgotten who and whom have put them where they are today (the little people like yourself) and customer service had gone by the wayside. A & W Automotive strives at customer service with still only Andrea & Woody working within the business. From our experience there is nothing worse than dealing with 3 or more people for one transaction this can get very frustrating at times.
January 2010 a Customer Service area which has been long over due has been added, along with a small show room for the Do-It-Yourselfers.
